Slowplaying
When you try to keep players in the game by playing your strong holdings weakly, you are slowplaying. It is something you should not do unless you have a hand that cannot be beat.
The reasons are:
- At the low levels, players call your bets with their weak holdings anyway
- You may give your opponents free cards, you loose bets
- They get to see the turn or river cheaply and may beat you there when a miracle card appears
Note: Winning a few bets through slowplaying may be nice sometimes, but the loss of a whole pot through slowplaying is a catastrophe!
